FIVE DAY WORKSHOP

Welcome Dinner July 20
July 21 to 25, 2025

10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (lunches included)

Interested in scaling up your work?

This hands-on, process-oriented class is for those interested in making large-scale work on the potter’s wheel. We’ll also cover healthy hand and body postures for moving clay, and making large pots in sections and using the coil-and-paddle method.

The focus will be on applying the best techniques to support each student’s design ideas. There will be group demonstrations as well as individual instruction. Basic pottery skills would be helpful for this class, but physical strength is not necessary.

As we work, there will be plenty of time for conversation about pottery in general — often one of the most important parts of the workshop experience.

Limited to 8 students.

Includes:

  • Welcome dinner on Sunday, July 20

  • Catered lunches each day

  • One 22 kg box of clay and all other materials included.*

  • Evening studio access

Cost: $1,000 CAD plus GST

Accommodation: 5 Nights, Sunday to Friday $750.00 plus GST (includes breakfast)
